Easter 2021 Message
from the
Grandmaster Brigadier General Ronald S. Mangum
“Brothers and Sisters of our noble Order, Easter is the time of the Christian year when we remember the suffering and passion of our Lord. We have come through forty days of fasting and self-denial to face the horrible pain and death of our Lord nailed to a wooden cross. But, in the deepest moments of our misery over the sufferings of our Lord, on Easter morning we joyfully celebrate Jesus’ conquest of death and his resurrection as the newly risen Son of God. Our misery turns to joy and we greet each other with the words “He is risen” and to which others respond, “He is risen indeed.” Our gloom becomes brightness and hope as we realize that by dying on the Cross, Jesus has redeemed us from our sins and offers us eternal life in his grace.
Brothers and Sisters let us take the glorious opportunity that Jesus has given us in his rebirth to rebuild our Order. It is our mission to plant new Templar entities in the secular world in order to spread the word and deeds of our Lord Jesus Christ. As Templars, we model the humble acts of Jesus by doing good deeds to show to the world that Christ is alive today in the world and that we Templars are His messengers of joy, peace, and hope.
Please join me in this simple Easter prayer:
Dear Creator God and Lord of Life, You who call forth from the darkness of death all those who love You, we rejoice, on this Easter Sunday, in the resurrection from the dead of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Visit our homes and our tables with Your bright blessings of peace and life.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” 1 Peter 1:3. “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.” 1 Corinthians 15:21.
This we pray In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
AMEN
