I started reading one here: http://thetemplarknight.com/ But it’s so difficult to tell what is fact from fiction and conjecture on those forum sites. There are also many different groups called Masons, Freemasons, Knights Templar, Illuminati, etc., that it’s hard to know the difference and keep up the thread of real history.

At first it was the legends that got me interested. Then when I read the version of Knights Templar history on Wikipedia it blew me away. I can see how the story spawned so many legends and myths. But really, the actual story is better than fiction.

That’s a beautiful old home. It looks like they’ve done a good restoration. These buildings from centuries past should be protected and preserved. Of course, I have to wonder if there might be some treasure buried or hidden there.

The Vatican isn’t known for issuing apologies for past mistakes. After all, it took 700 years for a Pope to absolve them of the phony charges they used to arrest and disband the group. I think the Vatican is reluctant to endorse what it cannot control. There are many Catholics, especially in Latin America, that have been taught to distrust and despise Knights Templar and Freemasonry. The powers that be in the Vatican don’t want to risk alienating the base.
