There is an old saying thag goes something like this: “If we dont’ all stand together in ‘Unity’…..We will all Hang separately in ‘Disunity.”
This is expecially true of ‘Christianity.’ We have all been divided into hundreds if not thousands of different denominations, that don’t trust one another. As long as we remain so……we will never have the strength to resist the threats to our world. Pray for Unity (at least Unity of a ‘Christ-Like Spirit.’)

🙂 When I say ‘Up-State New York’ I really mean ‘Up-State.’ I live about 1/2 hour from the Canadian Border. I was born & raised in New York and have never seen New York City. Although, I may have flown over it a couple of times.

P. S. Where did you get the picture of the Knight kneeling before Jesus? It is one of the most meaningful pictures that I have ever seen. I would like to get a copy of it to frame and hang in my home.

As a Knight who lives by ‘The Grail Code,’ I was taught to live by the letters that spell out JOY. J- means we know, love and serve JESUS FIRST. O means we serve OTHERS before ourselves. Y means that out of selfless Love for Jesus & Others….that you put Yourself last. It is not always easy to do. Howwever, I have found no other ‘Way of Life’ to be more rewarding.

Did you know that the origin of the word “Knight’ comes from the ‘Old English’ and ‘Anglo Saxon’ languages. It is an old, old word that means ‘One Who Serves.’ That really makes a lot of sense to be….because before anyone can become a ‘True Knight’ they must first learn what it truly means ‘To Serve.’

Are there any ‘Knights Templar’ in Plattsburgh New York?

I am not a ‘Knight Templar.’ I am a ‘Knight of Columbus’ (25 years and counting). I am active in my local Council, founded in 1897. I take Knighthood & Chivalry very seriously. For me, it is my Holy & Sacred Vocation.
I have been interested in ‘The Templars’ for many years and have read a great deal about them. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, there are no Templars where I live.

I would hope that I would remain steadfast in my ‘Faith.’ However, none of us can be sure, until we actually face that situation. For now, I will keep my ‘Shield of Faith’ as strong as I possibly can.

I like to say that I am from “Wherever The Holy Quest leads me.” At this time, that would be in Up-State New York.

I think that is because of the aura of mystery that surrounds The Templars. The secrecy that surrounded the Order. As well as the legends claiming that they were custodians of The Holy Grail, The Ark of The Covenant, The Shroud of Turrin, etc. etc. etc. Also the tragic way in which they were persecuted. These are some of the reasons that people are so fascinated with the Templars, I believe.

Why I call myself a ‘Grail Knight.
Grail Knighthood is the highest form of Knighthood that there is. Jesus Christ. ‘The King of Kings,’ gave us the perfect definition of ‘Grail Knighthood’ when He said, “For The Son of Man did not come to be served but ‘To Serve’ and to give His Life as a ransom for many.” Grail Knights should be loyal to their King and follow His Example. Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is our model and exemplar. As His Faithful Knights, let us follow His lead and live lives of ‘Dedicated Service’ to ‘God and our Neighbor!’

More than 3,450 years ago – 1440 years before The Birth of Jesus Christ – more than 2,500 years before the ‘Code of Chivalry,’ there was ‘The Grail Code.’ I am a Knight who has dedicated his life to living by this ‘Divine Code.’ Therefore, I will always strive to know, love and serve The Lord, my God, with all of my heart, mind, soul and strength. I will always love my Neighbor as I love myself. I will do unto others as I would have them do unto me and those that I love. Finally, I will always follow the ‘New Commandment’ that Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us at ‘The Last Supper,’ which is, “Love one another as I have loved you.” This is the greatest ‘Knightly Code’ to which any Knight can devote their life. It is ‘The Holy Grail of Chivalry!’

I think that ‘Knighthood & Chivalry’ can best be described in just two sentences:
…….”For God & Neighbor – I live & Serve.”
…….”By My Deeds Shall My Knighthood Be Known.”
Without ‘The Willingness to Serve’ and ‘The Deeds’ to back it up – ‘Knighthood & Chivalry’ have absolutely no meaning whatsoever. Just one humble Knight’s opinion.
